HelpHow Edison measures
The listed price, the suggested price and the monthly value
Where a suggested price starts, how big the step is, and what the monthly value does and does not promise.
Price advice starts from your listed price, the price set in your weekly pricing for those hours. It never starts from the average customers paid, because promo codes and member prices pull an average down.
A window is cut where your listed price changes, and hours with no single listed price get no price advice.
The suggested price
The suggested price is the listed price plus the larger of $5 and 10%, rounded to the nearest $5, and always above the listed price. If a full window is priced below another window of the same type, the suggestion stops at that window's price.
Your ceiling and floor
You can set a ceiling and a floor for each bay type in Settings. Edison never suggests above your ceiling: a step that would pass it suggests the ceiling itself. It never suggests below your floor. When a window is full at your ceiling, Edison tells you that as a fact, with no suggested price.
The monthly value
The monthly value is the window's booked hours over the last 30 days times the rise, or paying hours when plan time is involved. It is an upper bound: it assumes every one of those hours still books and pays the full rise.
Nothing changes until you confirm. In the confirm step you can type a different price.
Worked example
Three listed prices
- 1$40: 10% is $4, so the step is $5, suggested $45
- 2$80: 10% is $8, $88 rounds to $90
- 3$120: 10% is $12, $132 rounds to $130
- 4Monthly value at $80 to $90 with 60 booked hours in the last 30 days: 60 x $10 = $600 a month at most
Suggested prices of $45, $90 and $130, and a monthly value of $600 at most for the $80 window.
