Included plan hours and paying hours
Included membership time is booked time that earns nothing at booking, so per-hour money divides by paying hours.
On an unlimited or daily-allowance membership, a member can book time that is included in their plan. That time is booked: it counts toward utilization and booked share.
It earns nothing at booking, because the member pays a plan fee instead. Membership fees are counted apart from booking revenue.
Paying hours
Whenever the bookings in view carry included time, every dollars-per-booked-hour figure divides by paying hours: booked hours minus included hours. That covers average revenue per booked hour on Analytics and the monthly value of a price change.
Revenue and revenue per available bay-hour do not change. With no included time in view, nothing changes at all.
Worked example
A week with plan time
- 1100 booked hours, 20 of them included plan time
- 2Paying hours: 100 - 20 = 80 paying hours
- 3Booking revenue: $2,400
- 4Per paying hour: $2,400 / 80 = $30
- 5Dividing by all 100 booked hours would read $24 and understate what a paid hour brings in
$2,400 / 80 = $30 per paying hour.
