Birrdi is a legitimate sim-first platform. It controls launch monitors directly (Uneekor, ProTee VX, E6 Connect and others), ties into the Square ecosystem for POS and loyalty, and handles unmanned access through Remote Lock. For a new venue that wants turnkey setup, the white-glove onboarding is real value.
Birrdi's dashboard monitors bookings, usage, and revenue. Monitoring is not intelligence. Nothing in Birrdi computes revenue per available bay-hour, recommends a rate change, or puts a dollar figure on the weekly time blocks earning below their potential. Pricing control is manual, and the per-reservation billing model means your software bill grows with every booking you take.
That gap is the whole reason Edison exists.
- Per-reservation pricing scales against you: at Birrdi's published rates, a venue doing 500 bookings a month pays per booking, on top of a $500 to $2,000 setup fee. Edison is a flat per-bay rate that never grows with your booking volume.
- Birrdi advertises real-time control over pricing, which means you do the pricing. It doesn't advertise any recommendation engine that analyzes your booking history and tells you which hours to reprice.
- Events on Birrdi are ticketed sessions. It doesn't advertise recurring league scheduling with standings, waitlists, and automatic bay holds across a series, which is how sim venues actually run winter leagues.

- Every morning Edison writes an agenda from your own bookings: where you stand, the one thing to do this week, what to watch and what is coming up. It also names the regulars who have stopped booking and your repeat no-shows.

- Price advice names the hours, the price today and the suggested one, inside the ceiling and floor you set. Apply it in one click after a confirm step, undo it and get back the exact prices you had, and Edison follows up with what the change did to revenue.
- Revenue Per Available Bay-Hour, plus the heatmap
- The single metric that tells you whether the schedule is working. Tracked daily, weekly, monthly, with peak vs. off-peak split, best day vs. worst day, and best bay vs. worst bay. Plus a Bay Utilization heatmap (day × hour, last 30 days) so you can see exactly which slots are dragging the number down.
Switching is a CSV, not a project.
Birrdi doesn't publish details about data export. If you can pull a CSV of bookings and customers, or request one from their support, Edison's import wizard auto-detects the columns and walks you through the rest.
